Each weekend
at Metro you'll find passionate worship of God coupled with loving
compassion for people. We're a multi-cultural, multi-generational
church that is making a difference. From the
quality nursery to the fun-filled
children's service, to the relevant, inspiring teaching, there is
something for everyone! Most importantly, you'll experience
the life-changing presence of God and take home a message that is
meaningful.
Metro's Seven
Most Often Asked Questions:
#7.
What is your Sunday service really like?
First
of all - you are safe! While we always try and give our guests a
warm welcome, we don't do anything to embarrass them. You'll
never be put on the spot or singled-out.
The
service begins at 10:00 a.m. and is about an hour and a half. The
Children's Ministries run during the entire morning service.
Contemporary praise and worship starts our service and usually
goes from 30 to 40 minutes. Multimedia presentations are often incorporated.
A Biblical and relevant message is given in a down-to-earth
style, and very often compassionate altar ministry is offered to
those who desire it by caring, experienced individuals. Guests
are invited to meet pastors Mike and Michelle immediately
following the service if they like.
#6. Is
there something for my children?
Metro's children's ministry provides a safe, fun atmosphere for
children to learn Bible lessons and principles. Our children's
ministries are for ages 0 (nursery) thru 12. Using a blend of
balanced curriculum, worship, puppets, drama, video, and
wholesome activities, we want to help your children grow up in
God!
#5.
Are people who are searching for God welcome at Metro?
YES!
If you are trying to figure this "God thing" out, you are
welcome at Metro Harvest. While the pastors firmly believe in
Jesus, they certainly weren't born that way! They started as
seekers and found their way through the maze of modern life too.
Seekers are welcome! We realize that getting to know God is a
process for most people - generally not a one time event. We
encourage questions. Even though you might not believe in God,
we have come to know that He believes in you ... and loves you
very deeply!
#4. Is this a Christian church ... or
something else?
We are absolutely Christian and hold all
of the traditional Christian beliefs. We simply present these
timeless truths in a non-traditional style. See our
statement of faith
#3. How can I
know God myself?
We encourage you to read through the
gospel of John
#2. Can we schedule our wedding at Metro?
We have very little free time when
the Sanctuary is available. Therefore, we only host weddings for
congregation members and their families.

Ministry
Philosophy
Sincerity,
simplicity, and sacrifice—these three words describe the style
here at Metro Harvest.
With
sincere,
transparent worship of God and a bedrock commitment to Him,
these passions have become the foundation for Metro's
ministry.
Clear, down-to-earth teaching from the Word of God marks our
commitment to “keeping it
simple.”
And
sacrifice
from the top levels of leadership to the individual
congregation members keeps Metro focused on its God-given
mandate to win souls and make disciples.
